Fall is always a special time, with back to school and fall writing events. This month, I am proud to participate in three events, thanks to my connections with great writing groups! Here are the deets:

RWA U Webinar
"Writing Young Characters" on Saturday, Sept. 16, 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. CT! Learn how to write young characters with YA authors Patty Blount and Lynn Lovegreen. This session will be recorded. Register at www.rwa.org/events.
2023 Conference for Writers and Illustrators, Anchorage AK Sept. 29-30
AKRWA Panel: Crafting Characters with Depth and Dimension on Saturday, Sept. 30, 9:40-10:40 am (in person)
Compelling characters draw readers into your narrative. Join AKRWA members in a panel discussion on how to develop well-rounded characters, including working with backstory, goals, motivation, and avoiding problems like stereotypes. Appropriate for fiction and nonfiction writers.
Lynn Lovegreen will be moderating, and writers Elizabeth Allyn-Dean, Christa Looney, Neva Post, and CG Williams will be on the panel.
