RWA:
The weekend of November 18-20 is this year’s Romance Writers of America (RWA) annual conference. We’re meeting virtually this year, and the schedule includes events from Librarians Day workshops to an Industry Showcase to morning writing sprints. There are also many workshops for writers, covering topics about the craft and business of romance writing. I am honored to present a workshop called “Works Well with Others: Critique Groups.” I’ll share my ideas about how to participate in critique groups, and we’ll have time for discussion as well. You can check out the conference details and register at https://www.rwa.org/conference.
YARWA:
November 21st is our Young Adult Romance Writers of America (YARWA) Day of YA. YARWA will offer virtual workshops for young adult romance writers and about the process of writing and publishing. I have the honor of presenting at this event, too. I’ll lead “The Perfect Setting = Your Perfect Novel.” We’ll do some brainstorming and writing exercises to help you choose the perfect setting and main character for your project. Learn more at www.yarwa.com.
I’m really looking forward to talking with fellow writers and learning from others in the community. Even though many of us write solo, we’re not alone.
It will be a fun, rewarding weekend. Hope you can join me!
