Travel Notes: Croatia and Montenegro

My husband and I went on a tour of Croatia and Montenegro this fall. Beautiful scenery, great food, and friendly people added up for a memorable trip.


Everybody we met spoke at least a little English, and the knowledgeable tour guides filled us in on the complex history and cultures of the two countries. Each region and town has a distinct personality, depending on the geography and historical background of who lived there at what time. And it was warm, what we Alaskans consider summer temperatures, so that was a bonus!


Here are a few photos to pique your interest. You may want to add Croatia and Montenegro to your bucket list. I’m glad we did.
